JAIL AND INMATE REGULATIONS
COMMISSARY
A list of items are available to all inmates with available funds of $1.00 or more on Mondays.
PHONE CARDS
Phone cards may be ordered on Monday' and Friday's (with the exception of Holidays), which will be before or after the Holiday. The cost per phone card is $10.00.
MEALS
Three (3) meals of balanced nutrition is served daily. Religious or special diets are available if properly requested with no substitutions.
MEDICATIONS
The medication cart is passed daily. The Doctor is the only one authorized to prescribe any medications other than those considered over the counter.
VISITATIONS
All inmates are allowed one visit a week, for one (1) hour. There may be one (1) adult and two (2) small children permitted at a time. Visitation hours are as follows: 09:00 hours to 20:00 hours (9am-8pm) Wednesday through Sunday, and 09:00 hours to 16:00 hours (9am-4pm) on Mondays and Tuesdays. All visitors must have a valid UNITED STATES photo idnetification and must be atleast 17 years of age unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Official visits from attorneys, public officials, clergy, and other professional persons at times other than the above, upon apporval.
NOTARY SERVICES/FEE
For any material that an inmate wishes to have notarized, he or she will need to fill out an Inmate Request form. A charge of $2.00 will be charged to the inmate's account. If the inmate is indigent, arrangements will need to be made with family or attorney for these services.
CORRESPONDENCE
All outgoing letters will be sealed by jail staff, with the exception of legal mail which will be sealed in the presence of a jailer. Inmates without funds for 30 days or longer may request materials and postage for up to three (3) letters per week, to correspond with family and friends, etc. Any incoming or outgoing letters may be opened and inspected for contraband, for the purpose of maintaining safety and security of the facility. Mail is delivered Monday through Friday.
INCOMING MAIL
Mail will be opened and inspected for contraband articles that might be enclosed. The only exception wi legal mail, which should be clearly marked and addressed from the attorney, which will be opened by a jailer in the presence of the inmate. Incoming mail will not be accepted without a return address. Packages will not be accepted. This includes Christmas and birthday packages.
OUTGOING MAIL
Letters without a return address or have drawings on the envelopes will not be mailed. The address for the inmates are:

BOOKS, NEWSPAPERS, & MAGAZINES
No newspapers will be accepted. magazines and crossword puzzle books may be accepted if by subscription only. No nudity, indecent, or X-rated natured books will be allowed.
INMATE BANK FUND
Inmates will be limited to no more than two hundred ($200.00). St. Clair County reserves the right not to accept any monies coming in that would exceed the $200.00 limit. Only money orders are received/accepted in the mail. No checks are accepted unless approved by the Jail Administrator or the Sheriff.

These fees and/or charges will be deducted from the inmate's bank account upon purchase.
