Statewide Referendum Statutory Measure Prop C
Shall the Missouri Statutues be amended to:
* Deny the government authority to penalize citizens for refusing to purchase private health insurance or infringe upon the right to offer or accept direct payment for lawful healthcare services?
* Modify laws regarding the liquidation of certain domestic insurance companies?
It is estimated this proposal will have no immediate costs or savings to state or local governmental entities. However, because of the uncertain interaction of the proposal with implementation of the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, future costs to state governmental entities are unknown.

ABSENTEE VOTING PROCEDURE
*Absentee ballots can be voted 2 ways. 1) you may come into the County Clerk's Office during regular business hours (8am-4:30pm) during the dates listed and vote, or 2) Have an absentee ballot mailed to you.
*An absentee ballot can be sent to you AFTER receiving a written request. This request may be written by you on paper or on our form (which we can mail to you upon your request). The request MUST include your name, address, reason for needing an absentee (such as ill, disabled, away from your voting precinct during voting hours, etc.), and SIGNED.
Once your request is received, a ballot will be mailed to you at the address you designate.
*If you are ill or disabled, your ballot enevelope DOES NOT need to be notorized, but if you will be absent from your precinct, it DOES need to be notarized. In either case, if the envelope is not signed by the voter, the ballot will not be counted.
*The Wednesday prior to the election is the last day an absentee ballot can be mailed, so request must be in by then.
NO ballots are able to be handed out from our office. They must be voted in our office (during the dates listed) or mailed.
*Our office currently maintains a listed of voters that are disabled, ill, military, or that work out of town that want a request form automatically sent to them for each election. If you want to be added to this list, call our office (417-646-2315) and we will do so.
